Massage therapy is the art of working the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the body to increase circulation, stimulate fluid movement, and restore natural function. There are many different types of massage from Swedish (relaxing) to deep tissue (used to break up scar tissue) to sports (to prepare muscles for competition) to medical (to recover from injury) to trigger point massage utilized for the purpose of breaking up areas of painful muscle tissue which refer pain to unrelated locations.

Massage therapy has proven beneficial for many chronic conditions including: low back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, depression, and more. At Northwest Medical Center our massage therapists are trained to get right to the source of your problem, using techniques designed to relieve pain and speed up the healing process.
