Described as “meditation in motion,” this ancient Chinese Martial Art actually originated from a Taoist monk observing some animals; according to Chinese legend. While watching a crane and snake fight, this monk noticed that both animals used moves and put themselves into the positions that were best to protect themselves. This self-defense was incorporated into Tai Chi with serene and gentle movements that were meant to connect one’s mind and body. |
