If you have been injured at work you have the right to seek medical attention. It is extremely important and in your best interest to report the accident to your employer and make sure there is a written report filed, because if your injury is not reported and recorded by your employer, it “never happened”.

Your employer has the right to send you to a doctor of their choosing, usually a medical center with whom they have a working relationship.

If your injury is not serious and you recover quickly, there is nothing else for you to do. If you are not recovering as you expect, you should seek a second opinion. You do have rights as an injured worker and should not leave your health up to chance.
